SEMINAR REQUIREMENTS: FALL, 2000

1) You need to read the seminar books, work on your projects, and explore cyberspace at least four times a week; preferably, every day. If you don't, your mastery of the content of this seminar will be amateurish and weak.

2) Stay up with the reading and post thoughtfully to the class list. Otherwise, you'll be out of sync with everyone else who IS getting the job done, and, practically speaking, your grade will suffer (one letter off per day late on posts)

3) Come to every seminar session to participate. If you have to miss a session, you can partly redeem your absence by commenting on posts sent in by your colleagues. That way, you can contribute online to the conversations. So, if you can't attend a seminar session, then for the next week you should respond to at least two of your colleagues' posts. In other words, during the week following the session you missed, you would be posting three times to the class list: one on the topic due for the following week, and two commenting on posts sent in during the previous week.

SEMINAR GRADE:

   Posts and Discussions = 50%

   Projects = 50%
