A little distraction....

The Tale:

Well, I was in a "pit" orchestra (not really) for an eighteenth century opera that was slightly 'altered' to be more modern, I guess you can say. Many of the male roles were reversed to be female, so natch these characters became lesbian.

Now to make a long story short, I became a tad bit distracted in a scene where two characters who were female are supposed to almost kiss. I was watching so intently that I missed a cue from the conductor, and basically didn't come in. The conductor kept cueing frantically and pointing his baton at me while I smiled and watched, glassy eyed.

Eventually the two were interuppted and I looked up to see the conductor glaring at me. Needless to say I was embarrassed but it WAS WORTH IT.
