The Tale:

Well, this didn't happen at an actual concert (thankfully.)
I was watching the Montreal Symphony Orchestra rehearse Elgar's First Symphony last summer (every summer the MSO has an open rehearsal thing.) At one point I heard a sneeze. One of the violinists had sneezed. He had a bow in one hand and a violin in the other so he'd had to sneeze into the crook of his arm. After that point, the violinist would often wipe his nose on the back of his hand. I could often hear him sniffing. I felt very sorry for the poor guy. I wish I could've given him a Kleenex.
Months later, I was at a MSO concert and I recognized that same runny-nosed violinist. I couldn't see him that well from the balcony, but I'm sure his nose was fine.:)
