Hey Baby, it's Ludwig Van

The Tale:

I attended a free performance of Beethoven's 9th Symphony at UCLA's Royce Hall in 1997 or thereabouts. About 2/3 of the way into the third movement a baby started crying somewhere in the back balcony. It didn't stop. After a few moments the conductor stopped and so did the music. The conductor turned around to face the audience and said "TAKE IT OUT, PLEASE." The conductor restarted the third movement from the beginning. I hope the parents were suitably horrified, but I doubt it. I bet the kid is still a brat.
