One actor's Prescience-

The Tale:

I went to see a broadway production of Camelot once- it was a revival show involving some veteran cast members. Most notably, Richard Harris played King Arthur.
The show was the last of a long run, and though they performed well, the cast was showing signs of fatigue.
During the last scene of the show, Arthur talks to a child,
telling him to remember the glorious days of Camelot-
Heres what happened.
Arthur called the child over-
He was supposed to say "what is your name, child?"
What he actually said was "what is your name, devon?"
Devon was the child's actual name, not the charactors name.
But he didn't miss a beat- corrected for the near miss-
He said "Devon, sir."
Harris, realizing in that moment that he'd muffed his line
nearly dropped character, but then continued.
"Well Devon- I suppose you're from Gloucester!"
(Devon was supposed to tell Arthur where he was from:
"I'm Devon of Gloucester,sir!")
Chiding him, Devon responded with a total ad-lib-
"I had no idea that kings were so wise, sir!"
