Solo played solo

The Tale:

I play the bass clarinet, and in the song "Into The Storm", by Robert W. Smith, there's a great bass clarinet and flute solo. My band was playing a concert, and for some reason my clarinet wouldn't play. I was supposed to play the solo, but the flute player had to play it alone. It was terrible, everyone knew I was supposed to be playing. They were all looking at me, waiting for me to play.
