THE MISS AMERICA PARADE

The Tale:

My band was invited to be one of 25 bands to march in the 2002 miss america parade (we do it every year anyway). We were all in our rows getting tuned, and my section (TENOR SAX'S!) being the great group of 7 that we are, decided to play our sections theme songs...we stated playing our penguine song...but then our section leader was like, "Guy, lets play hash-pipe". So we got into a circle, and started to jam, with the 3 part melody/harmony song. Well, we had been playing for like 2 or 3 minutes...when Pete stops and says, "We have an audiance". Turns out, our whole band, our directors, bands warming up, bands marching in the parade, miss america contestants, and everyone within hearing distance of our group was watching and listening to us. We all started laughing, luckly we weren't in trouble, and everyone got a free concert.
