On our concert night, our section (the bass section) was totally hyper and excited. We had a solo part just for us and that was really unusual, being considered "background noise" by the rest of the band- mainly the snooty flute players. We had forgotton about our sax section, and we had not heard the rumor.
So we were playing the song with our solo, and the count when we were suposed to come in- all the saxophones stood up and sqeaked as loud as possible through our solo part-- all 12 measures of it!
So after the concert, they had to call in the police to break up the huge fight that broke out... and let me say-- for onceI wish I had stuck to playing clarinet!
