This Opera Really Bugs Me!

The Tale:

(I heard this second hand, hope it's not a repeat)

Several years ago, in the Southern US, an evening performance of a Handel opera was given. To achieve a silhouette effect, a scrim in back of the soprano in a particular scene was brightly lit from behind. On this particular night, a rather large insect with long antennae was suddenly stage struck during the soprano's aria. He slowly walked in front of the spotlight and was projected gigantically on the scrim behind her, as she sang her coloratura, much to the astonished amusement of the audience
