Neil Postman’s Technopoly
Thoughts:
I am a graphic artist most grateful for the the advances that computer technology has brought to my profession in the way of digital processing of photographs that does not require gallons of toxic chemicals and papers and hours of standing over baths of chemicals to acheive the same final results. But I realize that our educatioal system has succumbed to an agenda which values real education and knowledge lesss than training us in the marketable skills we need to become productive components in the system of material production. I am am reassured by Mr. Postman’s insights that I am not alone in my rebellion against the historically ignorant and morally vacuous philosophy of the spineless and moronic techno asskissers of the our age. Right on Mr. Postman! See you on the slopes. Rick A
