Technology as it affect the self-esteem of the individual.
Thoughts:
Postman's stance on the idea that we put to much emphasis on
the quantifying of our inteligence by coming up with a way
to evaluate it in terms of a number is the basis I believe
of the numerous reason why so many in our society have self-
esteem problems. We are told that we have value if we can
make the grade or get the score on the IQ test or if we can
pass the exam with the highest score. This kind of valuation
of our lives kick in with the measurement of ourselve
compared to the media image of the perfect person and no
wonder we devalue ourselve constantly. I would be interested
