Thoughts:
Postman is not the only one or the first person to write about technology and technique. It's interesting to note that Jacques Ellul was rideculed by contemporaries when he warned of the developing currents within our technological soceity in the late 1950's. Today his insights have been confirmed. Postman cannot be written off so easily.
